Running on a Treadmill

kicking off for gym is hardest task one has to do but then when you actually accomplish; it leaves a horse-power blood circulation and a sense of success. Being a 'not so proud' citizen of Haryana's one of the oblivious district; I have immense embarrassment in my heart while accepting this fact that I cannot hang out late; even in gym. So coming back from office in the evening; leaves me no time to play around at home as I rush to gym.

Sitting motionlessly on laptop to write thousands letters on company's million dollar purchase of various IT tools; brings more weight in smile of my weighing machine then of my manager's. Hence, better to punish self with weights and cardio; at-least for the day when you decided to become a career woman and not a stuck up, makeup fascinated house wife.

Wearing shoes, tracks and then woof! You are off to walk towards gym. Now this is a place for gym + Aerobics + Dance + Bollywood dance + Classical dance + other forms of activities which gives members, if not a feel good factor, then a over charged monthly fee. The trainer is ugly looking but yeah built is there! He is kind of a guy; if by any chance I meet him in elevators or some random mall; I would like to cover my assets from. But now; I have to ask him how to loose my ass while he glance at it and conveniently keeps glancing at it. Anyways, initially I must have paid heed to him now he knows that I am far away from his league.

Which; by the way; I got confirmed with when I noticed him and the lady who owns the gym getting away from classes for longer duration. The lady is a cougar and selects extremely fitted dresses just to show where actually one should not grow flab. One fine day; my irritating gym-mate comes up to me and bitch about the affair going on. I feel proud at my silent spying skills and told myself in heart "I knew it".

Since that day I could actually identify woman who becomes cougar after marriage and falling for any average Man slut. Seriously, how much bad a marriage can do to one. I try to drill down the reason and perhaps find some too.

May be it is because of absence of 'sex education' in Indian women. By the time they are married and sexually active, they are pushed to have kids. When they are done with painting a picture of "Perfect Family", they find themselves with a husband who is now working like a dog so that she and her cubs can live posh and buy posh. So basically, when the time comes in her life, where she knows all about sex and actually want to enjoy it, she does not have the resource. In the hindsight, the in-built energy reform a tigress into cougar.

Another reason could be 'finding herself'. Most women are not given opportunities to pursue what they want; in case they don't know what they want to make out of their life, they are not given any directions and possibly they are being told to get married and make life hell for a poor husband. Yes, The Man who marries such woman thinking she will devote the time to house and would serve him and family an ideal Wife; are often seen getting bald or having extra marital affairs or picking up travelling jobs etc. Some men also apply for divorce which is taken in a bad stride by society though it actually leaves an unsuspected new life and opportunities to unravel. So these directionless women; who were till now expecting their parents to guide; now expects husbands to guide for what they are on earth for.

Now; because man is Indian here; he does not expect her wife to be intellectual and well guided; feels happy that he has an open book with him where he can write anything. So first he indulges in all the initial charms and romances with her in early marriage years. After this, he plants a seed and gets population rate higher. By the time; tiny tots are developing their own life; woman realizes- Oh wait! I have other things to do in life as well but what are those- Let me ask husband? Husband is irritated now. Things which used to charm him previously; pokes him now and he prefers to spend time with his friends to enjoy drinks. The possible reason could be that now he identifies where he went wrong. He forgot to map a life-partner in wife or may be he rushed to marriage before he could understand the meaning of life sharing or life partner.

Wife on the other hand, has no clue and slowly steadily, with the time and after trying multiple short term courses, remains directionless. On the other hand, husband is bald and if lucky, sleeping around too.

Wife does not loose hope and keeps on trying new things like bringing back husband in her life or filing for a divorce & money or flaunting her latest chanels & Guccis along with loneliness in eyes or may be starting a business e.g. opening a gym. The gym; in turn; brings trainer in her life and she shows a middle finger to the world!
